Beskrivelse

LPI (Linux Professional Institute, www.lpi.org) har defineret et certificeringsforløb bestående af to niveauer (hver med to tests): LPIC-1 og LPIC-2. Ønsker du den fulde certificering, skal du bestå begge tests på hvert niveau. Dette kursus gennemgår de emner, der indgår i første test på niveauet LPIC-1. Ring til SuperUsers, hvis du ønsker at gå op til test -- det er helt frivilligt. På kurset lærer du grundlæggende installation, konfiguration og administration af en standalone Linux-klient, med både teori og øvelser.

• Boot the system
• Change runlevels and shutdown or reboot system
• Configure communication devices
• Configure USB devices Linux Installation and Package Management
• Design hard disk layout
• Install a boot manager
• Manage shared libraries
• Use Debian/Ubuntu package management
• Use RPM (RedHat/SuSe) and YUM package management GNU & UNIX Commands
• Work on the Command Line
• Process text streams using filters
• Perform basic filemanagement
• Use streams, pipes and redirects
• Create, monitor and kill processes
• Modify process execution priorities
• Search text files using regular expressions
• Perform basic file editing operations using vi Devices, Linux Filesystems, Filesystem Hierachy Standard
• Create partitions and filesystems
• Maintain the integrity of filesystems
• Control mounting and unmounting filesystems
• Managing disk quota
• Manage file permissions and ownership
• Create and change hard and symbolic links
• Find systemfiles and place files in the correct location
